Michael Armstrong, Jr., M.D.. has practiced otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery in Richmond, Virginia since 1995. A Richmond native, Dr. Armstrong is a graduate of Princeton University and Duke University Medical School. He completed his surgical residency and fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital and began private practice in 1995. He is board-certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.
Robert Thomas, M.D. will be joining Richmond ENT in 2025. A graduate of Asbury University and Vanderbilt Medical School, he completed ENT residency at the University of Florida in 2012. He then practiced general ENT in Minot, ND for twelve years before deciding to return to warmer climates and family. He is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and is focused on general ENT including caring extensively for pediatric patients as well as embracing newer techniques such as balloon sinuplasty and eustachian tube dilation. He is thrilled to be joining such a wonderful team of patient-centered providers.

Becky L. Andrews, RN, MSN, FNP, CORLN has been with Richmond ENT since 2001. A graduate of Southern Adventist University with a master’s degree from the University of Virginia, she is certified by the board of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Nurses, and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. A member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, Becky also manages our allergy department. She loves to see children and welcomes patients of all ages.
Amy Meadors, RN, MSN, FNP, CORLN joined Richmond ENT in 2013 and specializes in sinus, allergy, and head and neck concerns for patients of all ages. She is the only practitioner who administers Botox for chronic migraine treatments.
Jonathan Pender, RN, MSN, ACNP specializes in ear, nose and throat disorders and has over 10 years of diverse clinical experience.
Holly Law, Director of Audiology received her Master’s degree in Audiology from James Madison University in 1996. She has been practicing in Richmond since beginning her career. Holly is a licensed Audiologist and Hearing Instrument Specialist. She performs hearing and VNG (Videonystagmography) testing to diagnosis hearing loss and balances disorders. With these tests, Holly can help the physicians pinpoint exactly where you may be experiencing issues and effectively treat you.
Former Doctors
After a life well lived, William Lee Wilkes, M.D. passed away peacefully with his beloved three children, Natalie, Kim and Forest on July 13, 2022. Dr. Wilkes was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia and knew at an early age he had a calling in medicine. His father, a community pediatrician, often took young Bill on hospital rounds and he first handedly witnessed the affection and dedication his father had with patients.
Anthony M. Giordano, M.D., PhD (retired) practiced otolaryngology in Richmond since 1981. He believed in thorough patient care and allowed adequate time to listen to concerns. He was recognized by the Consumer Research Council of America as a Top Doctor in Otolaryngology.
Alvin Israel Goldstone, M.D. (retired) had a passion for working with older patients and created a well-known geriatric ear, nose and throat practice after working for more than four decades in Richmond, Virginia’s West End. With a patient ear and a calming demeanor, Dr. Goldstone prided himself on providing a comfortable environment for patients of all ages who sought his advice and treatment options for their ear, nose and throat problems.
